We are so excited you are joining us to celebrate our marriage in San Francisco! These are a few of our favourite places to eat in the city should you be looking for a restaurant for Friday night. It is recommended that you book a reservation early to avoid disappointment.

Cuisine: American Traditional
If you're looking for great dining and even better music, stop by this 'super club' set in a unique SF alley where a great American menu and the fantastic art deco decor set it apart. The Gallagher's have spent many a fun night listening to jazz at this fun spot!

Seafood, American (New)
Known for its amazing seafood and spectacular water views, this Embarcadero bar and restaurant practically sitting under the bay bridge is hard to beat. We've spent many a special occasion looking out at the water while enjoying a fresh and local California meal.

Nob Hill
Steak House
The best steak in San Francisco! This 'old-world' restaurant feels like a throwback to another era. Make a reservation in the main room, or get a fist come, first serve table near the bar and live band- you can't lose either way.

Cuisine: Asian Fusion
Nob Hill (in the Fairmont Hotel)
They say every San Franciscan's first drink is at this wild Polynesian themed bar and restaurant. Anthony Bourdain once said about it "If you have no love in your heart for this place, you are a sick, twisted lonely person with too many cats." We feel exactly the same and have spent many birthdays, proms, and special occasions dancing at this tiki kitsch SF classing at the Fairmont Hotel. Watch out for the hourly rainstorms and wait for the band to come out by boat to dance the night away!

Downtown
Seafood
Serving seafood, oysters and classic cocktails, the swank interior channels a 1950 vibe, with leather banquettes and a palm leaf theme- how can you go wrong?!

American (New), Tea
Union Square
Eat till you drop! An elegant in-store restaurant with the best popovers in town. The stained glass dome ceiling and beautiful atmosphere is the perfect setting for lunch or afternoon tea. It's one of our favorites!
$$$
Seafood
One of the oldest restaurants in San Francisco, this downtown seefooder is old-school dining at its finest. Constantly packed with locals (there are no reservations), it has the best clam chowder and sourdough bread in the city. When they can, Averell and her sisters often find an excuse to meet their Dad downtown near his office to dine at this fantastic classic.

French
Union Square/Financial District
This fantastic french restaurant has amazing food and even better people watching. The signature crab cakes en barre blanc and onion soup are to die for. After a day of shopping or after business downtown, this is one of our top go-tos.

French/Italian
This classic little bistro is a neighborhood favorite. The roasted chicken and steak frites are our favorites! Make sure to make a reservation, as it can get crowded

American
Another of our neighborhood classics, Balboa might just have the best burger in town (other than In-n-Out of course). A true local classic, Nick proposed to Elisa here! You can't go wrong at this old-time hot spot!

American
Looking for a good meal, drink or to watch a (American) football game? Head to Perrys! The blue and white checked tablecloths, wood-panelled memorabilia-clad walls, and menu of American classics make this a great casual spot for lunch or dinner.

This tiny hole in the fall serves simple patties, curly fries and the best hotdogs town! It's perfect for a quick bite anytime.

Italian
With its signature red leather booths, smooth cocktails, and renowned Italian American menu, Joe’s has been a San Francisco classic for 75 years! After you grab some pasta make sure to walk around Little Italy or head to Coit Tower and check out the stunning views of the city!

Seafood/Bar/American (New)
A funky bar and restaurant right on the water with amazing views, live music and sea food galore! Sit outside on the large bay side patio and watch the boats go by as you dive into crab cakes and tuna tacos. This place is a blast!

Check the closet location to you at their website: http://www.in-n-out.com/locations
No visit to California is complete without a trip to In-and-Out burger. We're pretty sure it's one of the reasons Alex keeps coming back to visit... So grab a double-double and animal fries on the way back from the airport or once you're in the city! Don't miss it!

Cafe/Bar
This San Francisco classic claims the title of the inventor of Irish Coffee. It is a fun stop along the waterfront, with great views across from Aquatic Park.
$$$
Mediterranean
A Mission legend, this restaurant is known for showing classic foreign films in the background while you dine. Whether for brunch or dinner the amazing patio is a great setting for any meal. If you have the time to head to the Mission, this is an amazing spot.

Italian/Pizza
Get there early! And take a mini-vacation from your vacation at this water front restaurant with bocce balls and fire pits. If you're willing to make the drive across the Golden Gate Bridge you won't be sorry! From its pizza to its amazing salads, and above all the views, make sure to check it out if you have time!
